2025 Cheshire Closed Squash Championships

Tournament Format

• Men’s and women’s A and B draws (and plate for players losing in their first match) – seeded knockout format
• Men’s and women’s age-group competitions for over 35s, over 45s, over 55s, over 65s and over 70s – likely monrad or round-robin format with a final for the top two best ranked players
• Men’s and women’s racketball draws

Note: these competitions depend on entry numbers and we may need to merge age-groups or have straight finals depending on how many players enter. The best way to ensure an age-group competition will take place is to spread the word amongst similarly-aged Cheshire squash players!

Prizes and Costs

• High quality 305squash t-shirts for all entrants
• Trophies for all finalists
• Cost: £25 for one event or £35 for two (max two events) – we have online entry again this year with the additional option to pay via bank transfer
• Option to play early round matches at a mutually convenient location if both players agree
• Prize money for squash A draws: £250 (winner), £50 (runner-up)

Spot Prizes

• 305Squash squash goodies awarded over the course of the tournament for unexpected performances, upsets, biggest SquashLevels increases etc

Refreshments

• We will be providing a selection of food and non-alcoholic drinks (free of charge) on the Finals Day

Tournament T-Shirts

• Each entrant will receive a free t-shirt, kindly provided by our sponsor, 305Squash.
